Pulse oximeter

Do you know whether your body takes in enough oxygen to be able to function optimally? With the Pheartcare Pulse Oximeter, you can measure this in no time.

It is important for sportsmen, lung/corona patients, asthma patients, heart patients, smokers who have stopped and mountain hikers to regularly measure the saturation or the amount of bound haemoglobin in the blood. This can be measured with a gauge, also called a pulse oximeter or an oxygen meter.

How does the oxygen meter work?

The oxygen saturation can be measured with a saturation meter that is attached to the finger. The saturation can give information about the effectiveness of breathing. The normal value of oxygen saturation in the blood is between 96-98%. Oxygen saturation is the percentage of haemoglobin that is completely saturated with oxygen. When the percentage of oxygen saturation is lower than the normal 96%, it is wise to consult a doctor.

The Pheartcare pulse oximeter is of excellent quality. Because of its medical CE certification, it is suitable for both home and professional use.

Pheartcare pulse oximeter measures:

  • Oxygen saturation (SpO2)
  • Pulse rate/heart rate (PR)
  • Perfusion Index (PI)

Perfusion Index is related to the strength of the wrist of the user at the place of measurement. PI is measured as a percentage (%) and the optimum value is 20%, indicating a very strong pulse.

Easy and simple to use

The saturation meter is easy to use. Measuring is done by placing your fingertip on the meter and within a few seconds, you will see your values appear on the OLED screen.

The measuring principle of the saturation meter is based on the Lambert-Beer law. The pulse oximeter calculates Spo2, PR and PI based on the absorption difference of the light intensity by measuring the ratio of absorbed red and infrared light at each pulse.
